I do feel remorse sometimes myself, but I try to really get over it. There are times where I think as to why did I trade it in. LOL! |

D, You might have regret.... i do from time to time, but quite honestly... if you're not playing it for more than a few weeks the chances are you won't miss it.... you might miss the idea of having it.... but you won't miss it when you're playing something new. |

My pile of "dust collectors" turned into an good sized abyss in the corner of my gaming room. Not because I didn't want to trade-in. Actually, the closet place for me to get even somewhere close as for what I want out of trade-in is over 40 miles away. This turned out good for me. I traded in a bunch games I no longer needed and got a shiney new Xbox 360 (20gb) for less than 170 bucks. I think the thing that bugs me more than the small amount of coin I get for trade-ins is when I pay full price for something and feel screwed within an hour of playing it. "Next gen syndrome" sucks bad. You know, getting caught up in the hype created by whoever and like lemmings, go over the cliff and into the "valley of 60 dollars gone". Rental places in my area are lame-They never have the new stuff forever. I'm not a gamefly person-Just never dealt with it but might in the future. I'm working on my "want it now" dilema. As for games that run their course, I don't mind the loss of money too much as long as I was satisfied with the game's longevity. Such as the new GTA. I easily got my monies worth out of it and still got about 25 or so bucks out of it when it headed to the chopping block. To sum it up-gaming is my only hobby. Sometimes hobbies aren't cheap...Ted has helped with my buying impulse in the last few months and I am grateful for his help. I'm not sure though if my buying impulse is my fault/slick advertsing/gaming hype from bloggers/ and or lack of patience while waiting for something to turn up cheap. Probably all of the above. I keep all the games I buy. We spend so much money on them, it kills me to trade them at such a loss. I would rather keep them or pass them on to a family member who gets a system. |

Ok guys...laugh if you must, but I made the "slamma damma ding dong" of "remorse" trades. When Fallout3 came out I traded in Madden 09 and NCAA 09 and got 70 bones (35 ea)...while I still love Fallout,I REALLY started to miss not having a football game....so where I work,I noticed Madden 09 dropped to 45.00 brand new ......so my creative trading juices kicked into high gear....so after all was said and done...I went through and traded a few games again (ones I'll NEVER play again) and picked up Madden again....lol.So the cycle was thus...traded Madden and NCAA for Fallout3.....after price drop traded again for Madden 09... . I tried to enjoy 2k5 again, but without current rosters,I just couldn't get into it. |
