With the cost of games, I've really been thinking about trading some games in but I always feel I'll have trade in remorse. for example I was thinking of trading in GTA IV,Madden 09 CE and NCAA 09 towards another game or two that I want. I started to play GTA IV again to make sure I wanted to trade it in and I got hooked in. NCAA 09 is back into the rotation after reading Rudy's and DJ's adventures in Dynasty mode and I got the itch again. Madden seems like the only game I would trade in but I paid the 90+ bucks and would hate to only get 15 bucks at trade in. so I'd like to see what you guys have traded in over the year and what you guys got in return, any remorse or was it the right decision for you at the time |

I sold Uncharted earlier this year for $30 on Canada's Craig's list (it's called Kijiji). I traded Bourne into EB Games for $35. I also traded in Marvel Ultimate Alliance earlier as well. I always feel a little remorse, especially for games I really like. But once you've played through the games once or twice I know I won't be playing them much after that. With Bourne, I got more at EB than I could have got on ebay or anywhere else. This site (Canada anyways) tracks all recent trade ins at Blockbuster and EB to let people know what they could get. Then they can decide to trade or sell. Plus, EB Games has been offering a lot of great trade in specials where they give you extra money if you trade in 2 or 3 games. http://www.tivs.ca/ |

I've started keeping and hoarding my games again...the only ones I trade now are the "dime a dozen" shooters (Gears, COD, BF, GRAW, RB6, etc). Heck, I have a good two dozen SNES games that might net me some coin at my parents' house in Colorado, and yet I'm too lazy to list them on eBay so they just sit in a closet (and I have quality, mint titles from my childhood like Chrono Trigger, FF6, Earthbound, and many more). Oh well, while I know I'll never get back to them, I feel it's much better keeping the games instead of trading them in for pennies. |
