http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/blog/puck_daddy/post/Report-Penguins-offer-Malkin-to-Kings-for-block?urn=nhl,88994 I can actually see how this would help Pittsburgh. Staal is capable of much more and he's wasted on the 3rd line. He'll also be half as expensive as Malkin. Drew Doughty is the consensus #2 pick and guys like him only come around once every 10 years. With Doughty and Whitney on the backend, plus Letang and a few others, they'll be set for a while. And if they can resign Hossa and Malone (using Malkin's money) they'll have a very rounded team. Meanwhile, LA gets that true superstar they've been lacking since Wayne fell out of his prime. Malkin and Kopitar is a sweet 1-2 punch up the middle. And LA still has a couple more 1st rounders so they can get another young dman to compliment Jack Johnson. I hope this deal goes through. The NHL needs some trade excitement. |

The NHL could have naked chicks, monkey knife-fights and Dan Marino giving out hotdogs and you still wouldn't watch. ![]() Actually, you probably couldn't because the show would have to be on HBO due to Marino's love of the "F-Bomb". "You want some f***ing mustard with that dog?" "Hot-F***ING dogs! Get your hot-F***ING dogs!" |

I could get on board with naked cheerleaders. They are as necessary as Tie Domi was to the sport. |
