I'm good George thanks for asking ands how's the family? as for FFXIII I wiped out any preconceptions when I read the Teamxbox review that gave it a 5 out of 10, ridiculous. its been about 8 years since I played a FF game so I came into this experience as a noob and to tell you the truth I'm loving this game. I'm fine with only controlling one player because if I have to control a whole party I'd be lost. I felt really connected with the story early because I wasn't expecting a thing story wise. sometimes expectations will ruin an experience and I think this is the case with a lot of people playing FF. I bought the guide but haven't used it because I like to check stuff I missed to see how close I come to finding everything. just my initial thoughts in the first hour of gameplay and Lebreau is smoking

This is one series that has die hard fans that if you go to far from what they are used to they will and do go nuts. And right now, the ye ole faithful aren't liking some of the changes. The biggest gripe I would have IF I played the game is that in all the other Final Fantasy games, even if your party leader dies in combat you can still fight the battle and have the leader revived at the end. The fact they took that out really makes no sense to me. Otherwise, the game looks good for what it is, but it's the time investment of an RPG that I don't mentally have. I will this though. RPGs are the best bang for your buck! The amount of playtime you get out of them is worth the price of admission unlike most games that are on the short side and rely too much on "online play" to prop up the weak single player. |

Thanks Ralph, everyone is doing well and how are things on your end? I played a little bit more last night and I was still having some frustrations with the gameplay. I want to really try and give this till the 12 or so hour mark before deciding. I hear that game really opens up and gets so much better at that point. The story seems like its going to be something epic just from what we have seen so far. Plus right now I am trying to juggle a few games at a time so it might help when I get frustrated with this game to just put it down and come back to it a few hours later.
