Bradley has anger management issues and can't handle the media scrutiny. He should be able to control himself in Seattle. Quite frankly, Seattle needs Bradley to be a great hitter for them. They lost a lot of HRs in Branyon on a team that doesn't have much power. It's also a low risk deal for Seattle. They dumped a huge contract in Silva to get him and can just cut Bradley if it doesn't pan out. They picked up Eric Byrnes in FA and if he's healthy he should be able to help their outfield as well.
Rudy I will say this... You and DJ know a s**t ton about football and baseball - in terms of free agents. Who fits where, etc. It's nice having that here. :waytogo:

Jason Heyward will open the season as the starting RF for Atlanta. He might end up being that power bat they needed and haven't been able to get in free agency. I think he'll be the rookie of the year this year. I expect him to hit .290 or higher, with 20-25 hr, 70-80 rbi, and a high OBP. That's a good upgrade, and also allows Diaz to go back to what he does best, and that's be the right handed part of a platoon.

didn't know much about Heyward but he does look like a can't miss prospect.

speaking of prospects I always wondered why the Yankees were coddling Joba Chamberlain so much and now many "experts" are saying that the Yanks developed Joba wrong and he will never live up to his hype.

The season is almost a week away, still not geared up for the season yet but I think it has to do with the Dodger Soap Opera and Dodger fans turning into Raider fans

There's no such thing as a can't miss prospect. But Heyward might be close. He hits for good contact, has great power, good speed, is good defensively, has a pretty good arm. 5 tool prospect. He's extremely patient at the plate (so is the Braves next best position prospect who will likely be the 1B by 2012 at the very latest). The only downside I see is he is from the Atlanta area (he's from down the road in Henry County, I believe). While that isn't always bad (Mauer and McCann are okay with being hometown heroes), the Braves have first-hand experience of the negatives of that. Jeff Francoeur will play in many all-star games, and probably would've already started, but the pressure in Atlanta was too much. You know it's tough when New York City doesn't place as much pressure on him. He improved a ton, even playing at Citi field (he batted over .300 after the trade. I hope that doesn't happen to Heyward as well. They are counting on him being the face of the franchise after Chipper is gone.
