I agree with pretty much everything you said Mike. Mound visits do get your composure back 100% which is not realistic but it is what it is. I wish I had more control over fielding as well and the menus aren't intuitive. I also think the rocket arm issue is overblown because the fast base runners do balance it out. If they slow down the arms they will also have to slow down the base runners.

Yeah, the rocket arm isn't nearly as bad as people made it out to be. It's okay.

People are way over-reacting to the edit cap, imo. Yeah, it means you can't name every minor leaguer, but you can still edit at least the top guys (I think the cap is 125 - that's a lot of prospects). And changing ratings, contract, equipment, stances and windups doesn't apply towards the cap - only names. So you can easily get the majors right and a lot of minor leagues.

I also think a lot of the roster makers are going about naming prospects are wrong. They're going with the old way of matching b-days and height and weight. That doesn't work this year. One guy has done a ton of prospects (like 900 or something like that) but only has 4 of the top 50. Everyone wants to match ratings, but then you're having top prospects be rated really low. For example, everyone wants Devon Freen to be Freddie Freeman of the Braves (even though Freeman is white and Freen is not) because their B-days match. Forget the fact that there's a more highly rated (with higher potential to boot) 1B for the Braves in AA that's actually white and works perfectly as Freeman if you change his height and B-Day. There's lots of other guys like that. I'm making a list of edits for the top 100 prospects right now, and I'm gonna plug them in when the opening day rosters come out (hopefully with Jason Heyward manning RF for the Braves).

Heyward looks like he's going to be a beast. I simply don't understand putting a cap on edits. There are no memory limitations here since we have hard drives. It just doesn't make any sense although 125 sounds like a good number. You can certainly name all the prospects that will be called up this year. I never play more than one year since I don't like to sim so this isn't a big issue for me at all.

I agree on this... Why cap the game IF you've got no memory issues due to the HD storage.
