Hey guys. I have an inside source with MLB2K10 and he's interested in doing a Q&A for this site and others. Can anyone come up with some questions that I should ask him? I never got a chance to play last years game so I'm very unschooled on the subject. So for those that have played it, ask away. Thanks. |

Why don't you play the freaking demo from last year! I'm curious as to why they removed the check swing. I'd like to know what they have done to the graphics. I'd love to know what they feel are the strengths of their game vs. the Show. |

-There has been talk that there is no check swing with the analog swing mechanic, only a defensive swing. Is this correct? -The color palette seems to change a lot in MLB 2k from season to season. Last year it was dark and rich, this year it seems very pale and washed out. Why this color direction? -With the batter's eye it appears that it spells out what pitch is coming. Are there any other visual cues besides words? -Did the ps3 get the same amount of attention as the 360? Will they get the same amount of support after release with regards to patches? A couple of years ago the 360 got a patch and the ps3 did not get one. -Will there be a demo before or after the release of the game? - |

I think the batter's eye may be really cool Nem. It doesn't indicate it every time - only once in awhile. Some bad hitters may never see an indicator all at bat. I wish the Show was more like that. Guess pitch is way too arcade like and completely unsim imo. No way any hitter can guess a pitch and be 100% sure it's the right pitch when he guesses right. Guess pitch doesn't account for the pitcher or the batter's ability and completely renders guys like Rodney useless since he's primarily a changeup/fastball guy. If that feature could be used where it didn't work 100% of the time and tied in the player's ratings I think it would be much better. But it doesn't work like that. People can use guess pitch in the Show but as far as I'm concerned it's a complete gimmick that is the exact opposite of what the Show is about. The Show is all about realism and sim type play and this feature is 99% arcade the way it is currently implemented. Edited by Rudy, Jan 27 2010, 07:27 AM.

One or the other-Is this game going to be more sim or casual gameplay oriented? For myself, I ask because I don't care for sports games that try to cater to both styles of play-Give me sim or give me nothing. |
