a lot of people and bloggers complained about how he was getting too many votes for being a cheater, so there was some attention put on the voting process and he dropped like a rock, which is a good thing I guess but he would have got the All-Star game a lot more attention then what it will actually get. |

This is sad. THE FANS spoke with their vote. They don't care. They want this steroid s**t by the media to END. I love baseball, but before 2004 nearly all of this stuff was legal. People took steroids in the 00s, 90s, 80s, and 70s. All Sports, but yet they harp on on a handful of guys since the sports media and government have nothing else better to do. Manny got busted. Served his 50 games. If people want to cheer him still, so be it. |

It's the media that has a huge problem with roids. Fans want the guys to get suspended, and then they move on. That being said, Manny only played one month of the year. He shouldn't be in. For that matter, Josh Hamilton shouldn't be there either. Only 1 Brave on the team is dissappointing. Chipper's #'s are right there with Wright, Zimmerman, and Sanchez, but not hugely better, so you can't really call him a snub. Jurrjens has been great, with a 2.74 era, Vazquez is at 3.05, and is 2nd in all of baseball in K's (130). I think they're both more deserving than Ted Lilly (8-6, 3.32 era), Billingsley (9-4, 3.14 era, 115 k's), and Jason Marquis (10-5, 3.87 era). Mark Reynolds being on the final vote is a joke. He's got 24 hr and 61 rbi. He's slugging .568 (more than all the NL all-star 3B) and he has a .354 obp (.001 less than Sanchez, and .009 less than Zimmerman). He should already be in. |
