been having some problems lately with games becoming unreadable. Just happened to my MLB2K9...it can play a few innings but then it goes to that "Disk is unreadable" stage. I have the 20GB but I have GTA IV and Lost and Damned on there and don't want to take them off. Did some searching on E-Bay and the 60GB sounds promising and it won't break me...but the 120 comes with the transfer kit so I can move my files to the new hard drive. Decisions....Decisions. Any advice, brothers (and possible sisters. Don't know if we have a female in our midst) |

I bought a 120 and love it. I still have 40+GB left after installing a ton of games (nba 2k8, ncaa 09, cod4, cod5, oblvion, madden, mlb 2k9, rock band, svr, a ton). The games load faster (especially 2k9) and I don't get dde. I've only had a game freeze once, and that was nba 2k8, and I still don't know why. The only downside is when I'm playing Call of Duty online, if someone throws me an invite, and I accept it, and then more people send me invites, it slows me way down and it takes me forever to get into a room. Only an issue when I'm trying to join a room full of friends and they decide they ALL want to send invites. Sometimes it makes it so I can't get in. The only thing about my 120 is that it's black and doesn't match my Xbox. I got it for about $90, so it was a great deal, with transfer cable. |

You've got your games installed on your 20gig HD? If not, then the unreadable crap is from your system starting to die. That's what happened with my 2nd system. My 3rd system got the Red Rings out of the blue. |

Yeah, I ebayed. I made sure it specifically said transfer kit, but if you get one without it, you can call Microsoft, give them the serial number of the new hdd, and they'll send you one for free. |
