I'm glad it will be a while for the next round. Like has already been mentioned, the original xbox was killed off WAY to soon.
As a side note..... I seen on xplay, that Sony is about to post a 1.1 billion dollar loss, and that a price cut to $300 may happen in April.

I'm not sure how accurate their info is,but that's a HELLUVA loss if true.
Wow- If I were in charge of Sony's accounting dept. I would have found a way to lower the prices of all the systems even more before it got to that point. But what do I know, I just sell the damn things at work and am not in their marketing dept. :dontknow:
The lowering of the 360 prices and the Wii having a major Xmas buzz buy going on, surely didn't help Sony. Where I work, we have sold maybe 1 PS3 for every 8 Xboxes in the last 3 months  Ouch

Most Xbox games are BC nowadays though, so it's not a huge deal, imo. I like my 360 a lot. Glad I bought it, and the only original xbox game I've touched is KotOR.
That brings up a good point about bc games. I have the 60gb PS3 that is fully bc. I have one game I play on it and that's about it. The option to still have a new catalog of games for the older system would have been nice though. Especially for people who couldn't afford a new 360.

That 1.1 Billion dollar loss will be only the 2nd time in Sony's history that they've posted a loss... so yeah, this is major.
