I had read that Sony is just going to use an amped up Cell processor for the PS4 in order to save on costs next time. I guess these guys are learning from Nintendo after all! Super expensive technology isn't what drives the market. Price does as well as quality games.

Everyone has made good points here. :appl: The way the economy is-lackluster sales to boot and still tapping the power available to the current systems is good reason enough to let things be. I still play games on my PS2 every now and then!
Microsoft gave up on the good old black box too soon IMO. Sure, it was time for them to start another system, but they aborted the Xbox too quick and for the most part-It was a very good system. They should have supported it like Sony has with the PS2.
I loved mine Xbox and wished I never traded it in-But, at the time-I felt I didn't have much of a choice. They hyped the 360 so good, I bought into it. Plus, I didn't want to be left behind when the new stuff came out.
:( I miss my old Xbox. I could kick myself in the butt for trading it away. I had about 25 to 30 games for it I traded as well. Like you, I fell for the hype and just had to get a 360 release week. I might have five games for it if that many. Oh well, live and learn I guess.

Most Xbox games are BC nowadays though, so it's not a huge deal, imo. I like my 360 a lot. Glad I bought it, and the only original xbox game I've touched is KotOR.

This would make sense, but then the question is. IF the PS3 hasn't been able to deliver on all the "power" of the current cell configuration what says they can deliever on the PS4 with basically a "doubled up" amount of Cell Power and Ram.?!?!

I'm glad it will be a while for the next round. Like has already been mentioned, the original xbox was killed off WAY to soon.
As a side note..... I seen on xplay, that Sony is about to post a 1.1 billion dollar loss, and that a price cut to $300 may happen in April.

I'm not sure how accurate their info is,but that's a HELLUVA loss if true.
