FINALLY!!! I'm glad that MS is going to back off on a new system. The s***ty economy SUCKS, but if it means that MS and Sony are pushing back their NEXT systems - this is great!!! This is going to give the PS3 and the 360 a chance to maximize their abilities.... BUT MORE SO.... developers are going to have to get creative with new styles of games. |

Everyone has made good points here. The way the economy is-lackluster sales to boot and still tapping the power available to the current systems is good reason enough to let things be. I still play games on my PS2 every now and then! Microsoft gave up on the good old black box too soon IMO. Sure, it was time for them to start another system, but they aborted the Xbox too quick and for the most part-It was a very good system. They should have supported it like Sony has with the PS2. I loved mine Xbox and wished I never traded it in-But, at the time-I felt I didn't have much of a choice. They hyped the 360 so good, I bought into it. Plus, I didn't want to be left behind when the new stuff came out. |

I agree with CMH. The longer the wait, the better the new system will be. I thought these new systems were a little too close together and that led to them not being quite as powerful as we expected. I know I expected that every game to be as good or better, dazzle me with graphics and run at a silky smooth 60 fps. Did I expect too much? ![]() |

WE all expected exactly what Sony fed us on the PS3.... 60fps second... support for up too 120fps on 1080p 120hz TVs.... instead we got lackluster games that ran at 30 frames for most of the first year. Then we got sloppy 360 ports much like the Xbox 1 got sloppy PS2 ports.... it seems like FINALLY things are starting to be better. But why put out a new system that will have more horsepower for "better graphics" when the costs will be even more money AND they won't be giving us games at 60fps.... just work the s*** out these current systems until it's 100% AS ADVERTISED from the get go. If the Cell Processor is so great - PROVE IT! And not just with a couple games... your whole freaking 1st party lineup. |
