http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/943/943950p1.html Normally, new systems are released every 4-5 years. So that would mean normally we'd be probably already have news of a new xbox since it'd be coming out sometime in the next year or two. But Microsoft is planning on stretching out the 360 longer (and the PS3 is planning on 10 years). I think that's a great thing, except for Madden, which I think needs an overhaul that it won't get until there's a new system. |

Nice read. I really hope that this generation of consoles lasts til 2012, 2013 before we see new tech. With the economy being all screwed up and numbers being down in general, it could be a few years before we see a new console. One thing I can see is that revised systems releasing with different skus as they have the last few years. |

Good. I don't want to see anyone coming out with new systems. They need to support these things for awhile. The graphics and power of these systems is so good I simply fail to see a great reason to come out with a new one anyways. |

That's good. I can't see what else they could really do to graphically to separate this generation of consoles from one in one or two years. If you wait five more years, then we can see some significant leaps. But, right now, I think most gamers are extremely satisfied with the graphical output of these machines. And I believe both Sony and Microsoft realize that their systems can still be pushed even harder. |

That is good news. I agree with what you guys have said. Gaming consoles need to be spaced out more in order for developers to push the PS3, 360 and Wii to their limits. Like George said, with the economy being the way it is with no signs of getting better anytime soon, I think people will be less likely to ditch their current systems.
